Our Story

The story of Gejja Model Farm started in 2019 when the Gejja Women Foundation acquire land in bulyasi village, Mpigi district. But when covid hit in the same year, and nearly half of the population in Uganda, and other counrties  was dying hunger, we restructured the farm with a new vision, and mission with a purpose of ending hunger, and creating employment opportunities to rural households. 

It is estimated that over 70% of ugandas population depends on agriculture. And 80% being smallholder farmers. According to the National Planning Authority, small holder farmers are the poorest. 

Our Objectives

To empower smallholder farmers through modern agricultural practices.
To inspire youths to join agriculture.To increase on the nutrition of people. 
To produce quality, and healthy crops
