Seed Loan Programme
We offer ongoing support to help these farmers gain the necessary knowledge and techniques for achieving high yields.

The Primary Goal
The primary goal of the Gejja seedloan program is to equip passionate female farmers with agricultural inputs with the aim to contribute to Zero Hunger, No poverty and sustainable agriculture
Out of the entire population engaged in agriculture, 77% are females, yet they primarily focus on small-scale rural farming for household consumption, as they lack the necessary resources and support to effectively cultivate their land.
In light of the economic setback caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown measures, the seedloan program was introduced in 2020 to address the shortage of food and income experienced by many families, particularly rural marginalized mothers.
What we have done
The project’s initial implementation in Mpigi District involved 30 farmers, achieving a 50% success rate.
We use a loan-based model in which farmers are given access to good quality seeds, agricultural training, and fertilizers. They repay the loan by giving us seeds after their harvest. Additionally, we offer ongoing support to help these farmers gain the necessary knowledge and techniques for achieving high yields.
We provide farmers with a choice between 5kgs to 30kgs, enough to cover 1 acre of land. On average, farmers yield between 50kgs to 350kgs.
